About Me

I am servant of God (Jesus Christ). First and foremost that is who I am. I was raised in a small town south of Chicago, and from as long as I could remember, I was a dreamer. I wanted to have wealth and get all the toys, as was probably the same with many children growing up. I later learned that to be great you need to serve others, and so that is what I do. I created this website, write books, teach and coach with the intention of service to humanity. I want to help people, organizations, and companies be great. This greatness entails service to a higher cause and purpose. For the individuals I teach and coach, my goal is to aid in the identification of purpose, the commitment to execute, and the will to persevere through adversity. For organizations or executives the goal is to aid with the alignment of vision, purpose, strategy and systems and processes, among others.

As a young man I worked in sales and loved it at first, but over time, came to find in some ways, because I was highly skilled and effective at closing sales, it was manipulation. Please don’t misunderstand. The sales professional is great and I must sell every day for the businesses I own. But I found that in some specific instances I was getting my customers to buy things when perhaps they weren't financially ready. Additionally the monthly grind of selling and having to reach a target, burned me out so I wanted to make change. This is when I began to learn about entrepreneurship. I read several books on the subject, did network marketing and really got nowhere. Then one day it all changed. I was fired from a amazing career opportunity for telling the truth. The district manager walked up to me as I am packing up my things, and said "come back and apply in sixth months, we just had to clear house". I was devastated, I had my first brand new car, I was making a great income, really great for that age, I was 22, and went from a great job to unemployed, all while simply being a man of integrity as my father always taught. At that moment, I said I would never again leave my destiny in the hands of someone else. This didn’t mean I wouldn’t ever be employed again. However, that day I decided that I would learn how to financially position myself to be free of depending on my employer through entrepreneurship.

After owning three businesses, some with some success, others failing but ultimately today collectively our businesses have earned millions of dollars and continue to scale. I have learned by trial and error, the hard way, what works and what doesn't in business. Even still, what I have learned constantly evolves. In our world the business environment is always changing because the world is now a digital global marketplace and it moves and changes rapidly. Now amidst a global war (because our economy is global), rising inflation, supply chain bottlenecks and the like the landscape is changing again. But the #1 rule in business is that there is only one constant and that is change. I bring a unique approach to business coaching as a teacher and a successful entrepreneur my methods are based on experience, proven strategy and the focus is always on simplifying every problem to find the solution.
